Just home from Summer Euro Tour 2016

What a summer we've had.  

We've covered most of Europe & played some amazing festivals.

Here's the main countries we toured;

Poland, Czech Rep., France, UK, Germany, Holland & Switzerland.

Now that we're home work begins again on the next album!!

Songs written, an amazing producer on-board & we'll soon be ready to hit the studio.

All going to plan the album will be out early 2017.

Rackhouse Pilfer Summer 2016 News

It's been a busy year for us so far and we've loads of new ventures on the go.

-We've been working hard on demoing new songs for our 3rd album and it's coming together great.
We're close to recording and will be releasing it hopefully by the end of 2016.

-There's a Summer Tour of Europe to be announced. I can reveal that it will take us from the Czech Rep., Poland to France, across to Switzerland and finish in Germany/Holland.

-There's also a UK Tour in October to be announced which will take in London, Birmingham, Liverpool & Manchester.

-We are also excited to announce that we are now on the Roster of UK Music Agency 'Midnight Mango' . So from 2017 you will see us over in the UK more often. Watch this space for updates.

-We are always busy in Ireland too, so look out for us at some big Irish Festivals this summer including Doolin Folk Festival, Donegal Summer Festival, Hilden Beer & Music Festival & many more!!
-9th June we make our return to Whelans in Dublin, tickets available (click here for link).

C2C Fest in the O2 London & a UK tour Feb/March

We're delighted to announce we've been invited to play at Country 2 Country Festival in the London O2 this March. 

These shows are part of our latest UK tour (details of the shows below).

We're headed to the UK in December

All Rackhouse Pilfer followers in the UK we're coming over for a few shows in December.

St Michael's Irish Centre Liverpool, Skegness (Great British Folk Festival) & Chorlton Irish Club Manchester this time around, the details are below. Tickets are on sale now and can be got by calling the venues directly. Hopefully see some you there, RHP.

Rackhouse Pilfer work with Tom Jones & Imelda May on his new album!!!

Rackhouse followers we have some BIG news to share with you.... Back in March this year super producer Ethan Johns invited Rackhouse Pilfer to be the session band on 2 songs for Sir. Tom Jones new album "Long Lost Suitcase", which is to be released Worldwide Oct 9th. We played on the tracks "Honey, Honey" a Duet with Imelda May, this is also the 1st single from the album and is already being played on airwaves all over the world! We also played on the Rolling Stones song "Factory Girl", all recorded at the awesome Church Studios in London. As you can imagine when we got this invite we were so thrilled and excited, not least because we got to record and spend a day in the studio with Tom Jones and Imelda May, but we also got to work with Ethan Johns who is a long time Hero of ours having produced for Ryan Adams, Paul McCartney, Kings of Leon and so many more. Any of you that know Rackhouse well will know we LOVE Ryan Adams records!! We'll share more with you about this over the coming weeks as it unfolds. We'd a great Sunny Day Yesterday at 'Openhouse Festival' Bangor

Here's our concerts for August

July & August 2015: Festival Season, European Tour, The Fleadh in Sligo & Northern Ireland mini tour.

Played a bunch of great Festival's this last few weeks (incl. main stage at Sea Sessions, Chai Wallah stage at Body & Soul, main stage at Inis Fest & Americana stage at Cowboys & Heroes Festival).

We will be heading to Europe on tour at the end of July where we will play a number of Festivals & Concerts (taking in Holland, Germany, Switzerland & France). The tour will end at one of our favourites 'La Roche Bluegrass Festival' where we will play the headline show on the 2nd Aug!! 

Then the middle of August we will be back for the Fleadh which is in Sligo for the 2nd year running & will be another amazing week for Sligo (over 300,000 attended last year). We will be playing a number of concerts over the Fleadh week in 5th on Teeling. We'll also be playing many more great shows incl. the 'Sugar Beat Festival' in Tuam on 22nd Aug.

At the end of August we have a mini tour of Northern Ireland planned, where we will headline 'The Hilden Beer & Music Festival' 28th & 29th Aug in Lisburn, we will also be playing in Bangor for the 'Open House Festival' 29th Aug & we'll be making a return to Kiwi's in Portrush 27th Aug.

Great weekend of gigs, Festivals & Concerts!!

Saturday we were on the main stage to a fabulous audience at Vantastival Festival in Louth.
Sunday was a double header with ourselves and the legendary Johnny Gallagher & Boxty Band to celebrate 5th on Teelings 3rd birthday and some night it was:)
And Monday we made a return to McGarrigles to celebrate the bank holiday Monday!!

Rackhouse Pilfer Trip to Germany after winning Jagermiester Freezer Sessions "Live Band of the Year"

Just Back from a great few days in Germany where we got to perform at a Jagermeister event & we were shown around the Jager Factory in Wolfenbuttel. Amazing experience!!

The show in Braunsweig was great fun, there were many shots of Jägermeister enjoyed and the audience were great fun!

RHP have been awarded Jagermeister Freezer Sessions "Live Band of the Year" by Hot Press Music Magazine

Very exciting news for Rackhouse Pilfer, after being shortlisted from thousands of Irish bands, we have just been awarded by Hot Press Music Magazine (Ireland's #1 music mag) Jagermeister Freezer Sessions "LIVE BAND OF THE YEAR 2014".
It's been such a busy year of touring and gigging & it's been all worth while!!!

As winners we now Headline the 'Jagermeister Freezer Sessions gig in the Button Factory Dublin on the 4th December. And we will also be flown to the south of Germany to play a gig deep in a beautiful forest for Jagermeister. The gig will be filmed and premiered on Hot Press website.

Headlining the main stage this year is the great Sheryl Crow, Horslips & Bell X1.

We are headlining the Pure Stage in the Festival Club on 26th oct (Sunday night).

We are also playing McGarrigles on the 27th for what is usually the after party.

Also we are playing an afternoon set in the Garavouge on the 26th 4pm (roughly).

2 weeks holiday for the lads...

After a great summer of Festivals & gigs we are taking 2 weeks to recharge the batteries.
