'Sligo's the Parting Glass'

Here's a short film we cameo in & Rackhouse fiddler Fiachra plays on the soundtrack...

The film was made by a collaboration of Sligo creative friends to highlight the thriving music scene & beauty of Sligo ahead of the All Ireland Fleadh to be held in Sligo in August 2014.

A local publican & friend of ours Colin Gillen was the mastermind behind the film & a number of Sligo's pubs, film makers, musicians & patrons got on board to make it possible...
It's a twist on the very successful Tullamore Dew Ad 'The Parting Glass'.

Big news confirmed for Rackhouse Pilfer 2nd Album!!

Some big news just confirmed for us and a major boost to our album plans. Nashville, Tennessee is where we are heading in January to record our second album! We couldn't possibly think of a better place to bring our style of music and get the best out of our sound!!

We'll be working with producer Brad Jones in his studio 'Alex the Great Studios'!! The studios have produced the work of diverse artists and bands such as Lambchop,  Yo La Tengo, Robert Earl Keen and Gomez and producer Brad Jones has worked with Steve Earle, Ron Sexsmith. We have been working on all original songs for this album & have been busy writing for the last year!! To get the best out of the new songs we have been demo recording them in Lake Studios (Boyle where we made our 1st album) & also we have been trying out the songs live at shows!! Now we feel ready to make the album & we are so exciting to get to make it in Nashville!!!!

To help finance 50% of the cost we have been running a fundit.ie campain & it is nearing its final week and is 80% to target!!! If you want to pledge to us & help us realise our dreams. Then check out Rackhouse Pilfer on www.fundit.ie
